Kempshott is a great place to live.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are now  an outer suburb of Basingstoke but there is a lot going on here and beautiful local parks and countryside invite you to get out and explore in good weather! This website tries to give you a speedy guide to what can be found where, in and around our area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We update the site regularly but if you cannot find information you are looking for you, could always email <strong>Kempshott Community Association<\/strong> at  <strong>admin@kempshottcommunityassociation.org.uk<\/strong> or enquire of residents through the <strong>Kempshott Notice Board<\/strong> on facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a community, Kempshott is over 100 years old. Historically, Kempshott was a small and (it has to be said) undistinguished manor in Domesday located next to Dummer , south of the Great South West Road (the A30). Kempshott as now recognised &#8211; north of the M3 &#8211; was on land called Basingstoke Down, the wild furzy common land used for grazing sheep and cattle of the citizens of Basingstoke Town, with just a scattering of farms and cottages dating from the 18th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kempshott as a modern community developed from 1908 onwards, on what had been Old Down farmland.
